KŌDE310’s First Member: Wyman
- Can you share the story behind your decision to pursue music and form KŌDE310? What inspired you to take this path?
I just got tired of being broke and the other members were tired of watching me be broke and plus they have music talent and walk around the house singing.
- What is the meaning behind the name “KŌDE310,” and how does it reflect the group’s identity and vision?
Jermhi called the CEO 310 because of her LA number. So she added KŌDE to it from there.
- Can you tell your fans about your creative process when writing and producing?
I always like telling stories of what I’ve been through or where I’m trying to go. My music tells stories of my past and I like to attract people with similar situations that wants to give up by letting them know, there is a way out.
What do you think sets KŌDE310 apart from other groups? How do you plan to stand out?
We’re probably the only one that sees each other every single day lol jk but maybe because we are our own creative writers. We don’t allow others to write for us because your music is supposed to come from your heart, no one else’s.
How do you handle the pressure of creating something unique in an industry with so much competition?
I look at my bank account and instantly get inspired.
Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound and creative process?
Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Justin Timberlake. They have all pored their hearts into their words. I can picture in my head a movie when they sing and I can feel it in my
Soul.
- Is there a particular artist, group, or producer you dream of collaborating with in the future?
Meg Thee Stallion and Snoop Dogg.
What can fans expect from your debut with KŌDE310? Are there any specific styles or concepts you’re excited to explore?
Just be ready for multiple personalities coming to a city near you.
If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be and why?
Probably autotune and everything else that doesn’t allow the artist to sound like themselves. Way too many artists had to struggle years ago and If they made a mistake, they had to keep going. Wasn’t any such thing as autotune and pitch corrections.
What message do you hope your music leaves with listeners, and how do you want them to feel after hearing it?
Always leave people wanting more and more.
Bonus question:
When you were a child, were you good or bad?
My parents might say bad as hell but don’t listen to that. I was good 😌.
